| First I was installing led lights to replace floor lights, i shorted it out on the driver side and the lights would not come on when the driver side door was open, I checked the passenger side and lights would come on. So I pressed the driver side door button to check the lights to come on, only light that came on was the ceiling light, i could hear the relay behind the driver seat, so i pulled open the cover to find the relay. The relay was fine, what the problem was, is the blue box with the white cap. it is connected to some wires and pulls off with a connector/kinda like the relay. smelled it and it was burnt, took off the white cap and at first didnt see anything wrong. i looked closer at the circuit board to find that it got burnt. so i connected the two points together with some wire and testted out by plugging it back in, and the lights came back on as it should. now i worked on the passenger side and shorted it out again. and again opened the blue box with white cap to find i burnt another connection, wired those together and everything came back on again. i dont have pictures because i dont have a camera, but if anyone opens up the cover on the driver side you will see a relay that is bolted down to the metal, and the blue/white box is not bolted and is hard to see as it is under the edge of the cover.... i hope this helps
